Slow Cooker Asian Beef Broccoli

Instead of ordering takeout, why not let your slow cooker take care of dinner tonight? Slow Cooker Asian Beef Broccoli has that tangy sweet, and savory flavor of beef and broccoli but even fresher and more tender than ever tasted before! With just a touch of spicy heat and plenty of crunchy broccoli, Slow Cooker Asian Beef Broccoli is refreshing and hearty all at once.

Ingredients

For the beef & broccoli:

  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Optional, for serving:

  • rice, cooked and warm, to taste
  • sesame seeds, to taste
  • green onions, to taste, sliced

Directions

Step 1 –In a large slow-cooker, add the steak, the beef broth, the soy sauce, the brown sugar, the sesame oil, the sriracha, the garlic, and 3 of the green onions.

Step 2 –Cover the slow-cooker and cook on a low heat until the beef is tender and completely cooked through, about 3 1/2-4 hours.

Step 3 –When the steak is done, spoon 2 tablespoons of the broth from the slow-cooker into a bowl and whisk it with the cornstarch.

Step 4 –Pour it into the slow cooker and toss it with the beef until it is mixed.

Step 5 –Add the broccoli and cook, covered, for another 20 minutes.

Step 6 –Serve over the warm rice, garnished with the sesame seeds and the remaining green onions.
