Ingredients

  • 1 ounce brandy or cognac
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1/3 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 orange, halved
  • 2 limes
  • 1 small apple, such as Fuji or Honeycrisp, peeled and chopped
  • 1 nectarine, chopped
  • 1 bottle of sparkling wine, such as cava, prosecco, or Champagne, chilled
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda
  • 1 bunch grapes, frozen, plus more, to taste, for garnish
  • ice, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –In a large pitcher, combine the brandy, the orange liqueur, and the sugar.

Step 2 –Squeeze the juice of 1 of the orange halves and 1 of the limes into the pitcher.

Step 3 –Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Step 4 –Slice the remaining orange half into thin slices.

Step 5 –Add the orange slices, the apples, and the nectarines to the pitcher.

Step 6 –Add the sparkling wine, the lemon-lime soda, and 1 bunch of the frozen grapes to the pitcher.

Step 7 –Fill the serving glasses with the ice.

Step 8 –Slice the remaining lime into thin slices.

Step 9 –Add the extra frozen grapes to the serving glasses.

Step 10 –Pour the sangria into the serving glasses.

Step 11 –Garnish with the chopped fruit from the pitcher and with the lime slices.

Step 12 –Serve.
