Teriyaki Sirloin Steak

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak

Directions

Step 1 –In a shallow dish, combine the soy sauce, canola oil, brown sugar, ground mustard, ground ginger, and garlic powder.

Step 2 –Add the steak to the sauce mixture, turning to coat.

Step 3 –Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.

Step 4 –Preheat the grill to medium heat.

Step 5 –Drain the steaks and discard the marinade.

Step 6 –Grill the steaks, covered, until they reach the desired doneness, reading 135 degrees F for medium-rare or 140 degrees F for medium when checked with a meat thermometer, about 5-8 minutes on each side.

Step 7 –Serve hot.
