Baked Tilapia

This Baked Tilapia recipe is straight out of a fancy seafood restaurant! Flaky, juicy, and paired perfectly with some zesty lemon, this baked fish is perfect for a delicious dinner. In less than an hour, you will be able to enjoy a golden fillet of fish, encrusted with Italian breadcrumbs for a nice crunch. Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried Italian breadcrumbs, plus more as needed
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • creole seasoning, to taste
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted, plus more as needed
  • 1 lemons, juiced, plus more as needed

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a baking dish large enough to hold all the filets without overlap.

Step 3 –Mix the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, creole seasoning, and parmesan cheese on a plate.

Step 4 –Dip the tilapia filets in the melted butter.

Step 5 –Dredge the butter-coated filets in the bread crumb mixture.

Step 6 –Place the bread crumb coated filet in the prepared baking dish

Step 7 –Pour any leftover melted butter over the filets.

Step 8 –Drizzle the filets with the lemon juice.

Step 9 –Cover the baking dish with foil.

Step 10 –Bake until the fish flakes easily when scraped with a fork, about 20 minutes.

Step 11 –Remove the foil and bake until the crust turns a light golden brown color, about 10 minutes.

Step 12 –Serve the fish with the pan juices spooned over.
