Brownie Trifle

So, go ahead! Grab your favorite trifle dish and get to stacking all the tasty layers of fudgy brownies, smooth pudding, and fluffy whipped cream for a dish that’s as pretty to look at as it is tasty to eat! Ingredients

  • 1 (18.3-ounce) package brownie mix, plus the ingredients called for on the box
  • 1 (3.9-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12-ounce) container plus 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
  • 1 (1.55-ounce) bar chocolate candy, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Prepare and bake the brownie mix according to package instructions and cool completely.

Step 2 –Cut the brownies into 1-inch squares.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, combine the pudding mix, the water, and the sweetened condensed milk and mix until smooth.

Step 4 –Fold 8 ounces of the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well-combined and no streaks remain.

Step 5 –In a trifle bowl or large glass bowl, place 1/2 of the brownies, 1/2 of the pudding mixture, and 6 ounces of the remaining whipped topping in layers.

Step 6 –Repeat the layers once starting with the brownies and ending with the whipped topping.

Step 7 –Shave the chocolate bar onto the top layer for garnish.

Step 8 –Refrigerate the trifle for 8 hours, then serve.
