Cajun Chicken Pasta coats savory chicken in a spice mixture positively jumping with spicy flavors, served atop a creamy, cheesy pasta. With notes of citrus brightness and aromatic garlic and pepper, Cajun Chicken Pasta starts a party on your taste buds that you won’t want to stop. It’s a big band of tastes you can bring together in just 30 minutes, so your weeknights will start having the good times roll!


  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 4 teaspoons cajun seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 3 cups half-and-half
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tomatoes, diced, for topping
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded, for topping


Step 1 –Cook the penne until al dente, according to the package directions.

Step 2 –Drain the pasta.

Step 3 –Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag.

Step 4 –Add in the cajun seasoning and shake thoroughly to evenly coat the chicken.

Step 5 –In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of the butter and allow it to melt.

Step 6 –Add in the chicken and sauté until golden-brown and cooked through at 165 degrees F, about 5 minutes per side.

Step 7 –In a separate skillet over medium heat, combine the half-and-half, the remaining butter, the lemon pepper seasoning, the salt, the pepper, and the garlic powder, stirring occasionally.

Step 8 –Remove the cream mixture from the heat when it starts to bubble.

Step 9 –Pour the cream sauce over the cooked penne.

Step 10 –Slice the chicken into strips.

Step 11 –Place the pasta on serving plates.

Step 12 –Top the pasta with the chicken, the diced tomatoes, and the parmesan.
