Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (15-ounce) can vegetarian baked beans
- 6 cups instant mashed potatoes, cooked
- 6 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 –Add the ground beef, the salt, and the pepper to the skillet and sauté until browned, about 10 minutes.
Step 3 –Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4 –Add the tomato sauce, the onion, and the Worcestershire sauce to the ground beef mixture and stir to combine.
Step 5 –Adjust the heat to low and simmer the ground beef mixture for 10 minutes.
Step 6 –Spoon the beef mixture into a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Step 7 –Layer the beans over the beef mixture.
Step 8 –Spread the cooked mashed potatoes over the bean layer and sprinkle them with the shredded cheese.
Step 9 –Bake the casserole, uncovered, until heated through and golden on top, about 30-40 minutes.
Step 10 –Serve.
