Easy Hamburger Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 pound medium or large shell pasta
  • 1 pound ground hamburger
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried onion
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 (10.75-ounce) cans tomato soup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • fresh herbs, such as basil or parsley, optional, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –Cook the pasta to al dente, according to the package directions.

Step 4 –Drain the pasta and set it aside.

Step 5 –In a frying pan, season the hamburger meat with the garlic powder, the dried onion, the salt, and the pepper and cook, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 6 –Pour the cooked pasta into the prepared baking dish.

Step 7 –Add the hamburger meat and the tomato soup to the pasta and stir to combine.

Step 8 –Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and the mozzarella cheese over the casserole.

Step 9 –Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Step 10 –Remove the foil and continue to bake until the cheese is bubbly and golden, about 10 minutes. Optionally, you can turn on the broiler for 3-5 minutes to make the cheese extra brown.
