Comfort food looks different for different people, but we think we can all agree on this one! Gobble-Gobble Tetrazzini is the answer to all of life’s comfy needs, even if it isn’t Thanksgiving. With a superbly seasoned sauce, al dente spaghetti, and really tasty mushrooms, this tenderly cooked turkey dish gets all the fanfare any day of the year! Topped with nutty parmesan cheese and lively paprika, Gobble-Gobble Tetrazzini is the comfiest dish you will ever taste. Snuggle up to a plateful (or two) and you will see what we are talking about. It universally speaks comfort to all!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can chicken broth, reduced-sodium
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (12-ounce) can fat-free evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 cups turkey breast, cooked and cubed
  • 1 (4-ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat an 8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti to al dente, according to the package directions. Drain the pasta.

Step 4 -In a medium bowl, add the cornstarch, the chicken broth, the seasoned salt, and the black pepper and mix until well-combined.

Step 5 -In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter.

Step 6 -Add the onion to the butter and sauté until tender.

Step 7 -Add the garlic to the onion mixture, stir to combine, and cook, stirring constantly, about 1 minute.

Step 8 -Add the cornstarch mixture to the onion mixture and bring to a boil.

Step 9 -Cook the onion mixture, while stirring, until it thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 10 -Reduce the heat to low.

Step 11 -Add the evaporated milk to the onion mixture and cook, stirring constantly, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 12 -Add the turkey, the mushrooms, and the spaghetti to the onion mixture and stir to combine.

Step 13 -Pour the tetrazzini into the prepared baking dish and bake, covered, about 20 minutes.

Step 14 -Evenly sprinkle the tetrazzini with the parmesan cheese and the paprika and bake until it is heated through, about 5-10 minutes.

Step 15 -Serve.
