IHOP® Copycat Pancakes

Fluffy in the center, crispy at the edges, and ready in 20 minutes — these IHOP® Copycat Pancakes will become your new breakfast staple! These buttery flapjacks are perfect for cozy mornings in your pajamas. You’ll never want to use pancake mix again! IHOP Copycat Pancakes are easy and quick to make, and you can top them with fruit, nuts, syrups, or any other toppings of your choice.

For the pancakes:

  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Optional, for serving:

  • butter, to taste
  • fresh fruit, to taste
  • syrup, to taste


Step 1 -Preheat a skillet over medium heat.

Step 2 -Put the milk, the vegetable oil, the sugar, the egg, the flour, the baking powder, and the baking soda in a blender and combine until smooth.

Step 3 -Pour the batter by the spoonful onto the hot skillet, forming 5-inch circles.

Step 4 -When the edges appear to harden, flip the pancakes. They should be light brown.

Step 5 -Serve with the butter, the fresh fruit, and the syrup.
