Juicy Mongolian Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup green onions, cut into 1/2-inch pieces, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –In a bowl, add the flank steak pieces and the cornstarch and toss to coat evenly.

Step 2 –Add the coated flank steak pieces to a slow cooker.

Step 3 –Add the sesame oil, the garlic, the ginger, the soy sauce, the brown sugar, and the water to the slow cooker and stir to coat the meat in the sauce.

Step 4 –Cover and cook until the steak is tender, about 2-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low.

Step 5 –Top with the green onions and serve.
