Ultimate Ham Quiche

Ultimate Ham Quiche! It’s the brunch-favorite, the breakfast king, the lord of the egg dishes! Everything about Ultimate Ham Quiche is worth celebrating! The crust is buttery and flaky, while the egg filling is fluffy, creamy, and savory! And of course, the filling itself is stuffed with succulent ham and sharp cheese! Mmmm, you may not have room for dinner tonight, since you’ll be having seconds and thirds of this!

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.1-ounce, 2-count) package refrigerated pie crusts, reserving 1 crust for another use
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, plus more, to taste, for serving
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 (8-ounce) package diced ham
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –While the oven preheats, place a baking sheet on the center oven rack.

Step 3 –Into a 9-inch pie plate, fit the pie crust, folding the edges under and crimping, as needed.

Step 4 –In a large bowl, add the eggs, the half-and-half, 1 tablespoon of the parsley, the Dijon mustard, the flour, the salt, and the pepper.

Step 5 –Into the pie crust, add the ham, the cheddar cheese, and the shallots.

Step 6 –Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.

Step 7 –Place the pie plate on the preheated baking sheet and bake until puffed around the edges and the center is set, about 40-45 minutes.

Step 8 –Let the quiche cool on the sheet tray for at least 30 minutes.

Step 9 –Serve garnished with the extra parsley.
