Sure, you’ve had its savory cousin, pigs-in-a-blanket, and its sweet pull-apart cousin, monkey bread, but you’ve never experienced both in one bite! Those can never compare to this fun, filling brunch option. The beloved, hearty cocktail sausages are wrapped up tight in some sweet and fluffy cinnamon roll dough. It’s a superb sweet-and-savory combination that tastes so delicious with a drizzle of sticky syrup. See? Loaded Monkey Bread is the perfect, unique pull-apart bite that everyone will love!

Ingredients

  • 1 (13-ounce, 8-count) can cinnamon rolls, icing reserved for another use
  • 1 (14-ounce) package cocktail sausages
  • maple syrup, optional, to taste, warm, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Step 3 –Unroll the cinnamon rolls and cut them each into 4 equally sized strips.

Step 4 –Wrap each of the sausages with a strip of the cinnamon roll dough and pinch to close them.

Step 5 –Horizontally place the filled dough pieces in the prepared loaf pan.

Step 6 –Bake until the cinnamon rolls are browned, about 30 minutes.

Step 7 –Use the parchment paper to pull the loaf out of the pan.

Step 8 –Serve drizzled with the warm maple syrup.
