Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sleeves saltine crackers
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup holiday-inspired sprinkles

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 –Prepare a baking sheet with foil and spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 –Arrange the crackers salt-side down in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4 –In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, add the butter and the brown sugar and bring to a rolling mixture, stirring while the butter melts, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 5 –Transfer the butter mixture from the heat and carefully pour it over the crackers.

Step 6 –Bake the toffee-covered crackers until the toffee is bubbling all over, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 7 –Immediately sprinkle the toffee with the chocolate chips and allow the chips to sit and soften, about 1 minute.

Step 8 –Use an offset spatula to evenly spread the melted chocolate over the entire surface of the toffee.

Step 9 –Cover the chocolate-covered toffee with the sprinkles.

Step 10 –Freeze the toffee bites until set, about 30 minutes.
