  • 1 (roughly 14-ounce) ball refrigerated pizza dough, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce, plus more for dipping
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 10 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces sliced pepperoni, divided
  • 4 sticks mozzarella string cheese

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 –Flour a work surface.

Step 3 –Roll out the pizza dough on the floured surface until it is flat and 11×18-inches in size.

Step 4 –Spread the marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border at the edges.

Step 5 –Sprinkle the parmesan, oregano, and salt on the sauce, and evenly add the mozzarella slices and half of the pepperoni.

Step 6 –Arrange the string cheese in a line along one long edge of the dough.

Step 7 –Starting from the long edge with the string cheese, roll the dough up as tightly as possible so the string cheese is in the middle of the roll.

Step 8 –Pinch the seam of the dough to seal it and place the roll seam-side down.

Step 9 –Slice the roll into 1-inch pieces with a serrated knife.
