Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a large platter with paper towels.

Step 3 –In a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil. Note: If an oven-proof skillet is not available, use a regular skillet to cook the ribeye steak and the vegetables as directed, but in batches, and then transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 4 –Add the sliced ribeye steak, the garlic salt, and the black pepper to the heated olive oil and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 5 –Transfer the cooked ribeye steak slices from the skillet to the prepared platter.

Step 6 –In the same large skillet, using 2 tablespoons of the grease from the ribeye steak slices, or adding the extra olive oil to reach 2 tablespoons, heat over medium-high heat.

Step 7 –Add the green bell peppers, the onion, and the mushrooms to the olive oil and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 10 –Evenly sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese on the top of the ribeye steak mixture.

Step 11 –Bake until heated through, about 15 minutes, or broil for crispy cheese, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 12 –Plate and serve.
