Potluck Sloppy Joes

More importantly, how do we feed one?! It’s Potluck Sloppy Joes for us every single time. All we do is dump those sweet, tangy, nostalgic flavors, and of course some browned beef, in a slow cooker, and bam. We’re party-ready without breaking a sweat! Served on your favorite fluffy buns, Potluck Sloppy Joes help you focus on the most important thing in your life — celebrating the people you love most!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup chili sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • white buns, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, the onions, and the garlic and cook, while crumbling the beef, until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.

Step 2 -In a 4-quart slow cooker, add the beef mixture, the ketchup, the chili sauce, the bell peppers, the celery, the brown sugar, the tomato paste, the mustard, the cider vinegar, the Worcestershire sauce, and the chili powder and stir to combine.

Step 3 -Cover the slow cooker and cook the beef mixture, about 3-4 hours on high heat and about 6-7 hours on high heat.

Step 4 -Serve the sloppy joes on the white buns.
