Roasted Strawberries

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • salt, to taste
  • ice cream or whipped cream, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Cut the tops off of the strawberries and then cut the strawberries in half vertically.

Step 3 –Place the halved strawberries in a large bowl.

Step 4 –Drizzle the strawberries with the maple syrup and the balsamic vinegar.

Step 5 –Add the salt and toss the strawberries until they are fully coated.

Step 6 –Arrange the strawberries in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Step 7 –Roast the strawberries, tossing them once halfway through roasting, until tender, about 25-30 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve with the ice cream.
