Ingredients
- 1 cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 pounds lean ground turkey
- 1 egg
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2 -Lightly grease a loaf pan.
Step 3 -In a medium bowl, add the breadcrumbs, the water, and the salsa and stir to combine.
Step 4 -Let the breadcrumb mixture sit, about 10 minutes.
Step 5 -In a large bowl, add the onions, the garlic, the turkey, the egg, and the breadcrumb mixture and use your hands to combine.
Step 6 -Shape the turkey mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
Step 7 -Bake the meatloaf until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 1 hour.
Step 8 -Transfer the pan to a wire rack and let the meatloaf slightly cool.
Step 9 -Slice and serve.
