Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 (15.5-ounce) can sloppy joe sauce
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups biscuit/baking mix
- 2 large eggs, room temperature and lightly beaten
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 –Lightly grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
Step 3 –In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the beef until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease.
Step 4 –Stir the sloppy joy sauce into the cooked beef.
Step 5 –Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Step 6 –Sprinkle the beef mixture with the cheese.
Step 7 –In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix, the eggs, and the milk until just blended.
Step 8 –Pour the biscuit batter over the cheese.
Step 9 –Sprinkle the biscuit batter with the sesame seeds.
Step 10 –Bake, uncovered, until the top is golden brown, about 25 minutes.
Step 11 –Serve.
