Thankful-for-You Salad

Food can bring numerous feelings to a person, and some more than others. Thankful-for-You Salad gives all the comforting feelings of good food with great taste. Homestyle honey mustard dressing wraps its fabulous flavors around mixed greens, crunchy apples, sweet pears, tart craisins, tangy blue cheese, and salted pecans for a wonderful combination of just the right amount of sweetness, tartness, and crunchiness. Ingredients

For the honey mustard dressing:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the salad:

  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 1 Jonathan, Fuji, or Gala apple, diced
  • 1 pear, diced
  • 1/3 cup craisins
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup salted pecans

Directions

Step 1 –In a Mason jar or large container with a lid, add the olive oil, the lime juice, the honey, the Dijon mustard, the salt, and the black pepper and shake or whisk to combine.

Step 2 –In a large bowl, add the mixed greens, the apple, the pear, the craisins, the blue cheese, and the pecans and toss to combine.

Step 3 –Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.

Step 4 –Serve.
