Ingredients
- 12 ounces ziti pasta
- 2 cups chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 1 (25 ounce) jar pasta sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated, divided
- 1/4 cup basil leaves, packed and roughly chopped, divided
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 –Cook the pasta al dente in a large stockpot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions. Drain.
Step 3 –Return the pasta to the stockpot and add the chicken and tomato sauce.
Step 4 –Gently toss to combine until the pasta is evenly coated.
Step 5 –Pour half of the pasta into a greased 11×7-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 6 –Sprinkle evenly with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and half of the basil.
Step 7 –Layer the remaining half of the pasta evenly on top.
