  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 3 cups milk chocolate chips

Step 2 –Line a 10×15-inch pan with wax paper.

Step 3 –Spread the flour out on a baking tray.

Step 4 –Bake the flour for 5 minutes; this helps kill bacteria in the flour.

Step 5 –In the bowl of a large stand mixer, cream the butter and the brown sugar until it is light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

Step 6 –Beat the vanilla into the butter mixture.

Step 7 –Slowly add the flour into the butter mixture, scraping down the sides as necessary.

Step 8 –With the mixer still running, slowly add the sweetened condensed milk to the butter mixture, scraping down the sides as needed and continuing to mix until it is fully combined.

Step 9 –Stir the mini chocolate chips into the cookie dough mixture.

Step 13 –Spread the cookie dough mixture over the hardened chocolate in an even layer.

Step 14 –Let the cookie dough set over the chocolate, about 15-30 minutes.

Step 15 –Melt the remaining milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.

Step 16 –Pour the melted chocolate over the cookie dough layer.

Step 17 –Allow the melted chocolate to harden.

Step 18 –Break the bark apart and serve.
