Crack Sliders

Every day is a better day when it’s burger day! And these Crack Sliders are here to make it the best one yet! These baby cheeseburgers are thrown on some sweet and fluffy Hawaiian rolls for the ultimate sweet-and-savory combo. Load ’em up with all your favorite toppings and condiments, but don’t you forget about that tangy, creamy homemade sauce! It makes all of the difference. This is really gonna be a good day thanks to Crack Sliders!

Ingredients

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons French dressing
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • kosher salt, to taste

For the sliders:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 9 Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 18 pickle chips
  • ketchup, to taste
  • mustard, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a small bowl, add the mayonnaise, the French dressing, the dill pickle relish, the minced onion, the sugar, the vinegar, the garlic, and the salt and stir to combine.

Step 3 –Place the sauce in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Step 4 –In a large bowl, add the beef, the Worcestershire sauce, the garlic powder, and the onion powder and mix with your hands until just combined.

Step 5 –Section the beef mixture into nine equal portions and roll them into balls.

Step 6 –Place the balls 2 inches apart on a plastic-wrap-lined tray, then cover with plastic wrap.

Step 7 –Use the bottom of a drinking glass to press the balls down flat into patties.

Step 8 –Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 9 –Add the patties to the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan, and cook until they are browned on both sides and reach an internal temperature of 140 degrees F.

Step 10 –Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls into a 9×9-inch baking dish.

Step 11 –Place the patties on top of the Hawaiian rolls.

Step 12 –Top the patties with the cheese and the pickles.

Step 13 –Drizzle the patties with the ketchup and the mustard.

Step 14 –Add 1/2 of the sauce on top of the patties.

Step 15 –Cover the sliders with the Hawaiian roll tops.

Step 16 –Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 17 –Discard the foil and brush the slider tops with the butter and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

Step 18 –Bake the sliders until the tops are toasted and the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.

Step 19 –Serve the sliders with the remaining sauce.
