There’s no time to put it in a bowl, you have to eat it immediately! The pork sausage is savory and spicy, while the cream cheese is tangy and melty, with the chunky salsa adding a layer of vibrancy. Ingredients

    For the dip:

    • 1 pound ground pork sausage
    • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
    • 1 cup jarred chunky salsa

    For serving:

    • scallions, to taste, thinly sliced
    • cilantro, to taste, chopped
    • tortilla chips, to taste

    Directions

    Step 1 –Heat a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat until it is very hot.

    Step 2 –Add the sausage and cook, while crumbling with a wooden spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 6 minutes.

    Step 3 –Reduce the heat to medium-low.

    Step 4 –Add the cream cheese to the cooked sausage and break it up into small pieces.

    Step 5 –Add the salsa and stir well to combine.

    Step 6 –Continue to cook and stir until all of the cream cheese has melted, about 3 minutes.

    Step 7 –Transfer the skillet from the heat and top with the scallions and the cilantro.
