Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken tenders, boneless
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, plus more, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Directions

Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil.

Step 2 –Sprinkle the chicken tenders with the garlic salt and the pepper.

Step 3 –Add the chicken tenders to the oil and pan fry them, turning them frequently, until they are brown on both sides, about 10 minutes.

Step 4 –Transfer the chicken from the skillet to a resting plate and lower the heat of the stovetop.

Step 5 –Add the butter, the green onions, and the garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.

Step 6 –Sprinkle the flour into the butter mixture and stir for 1 minute.

Step 7 –Add the chicken broth to the flour mixture and cook until it thickens.
