Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds salmon fillets, skinless, boneless, and cut into 4 even fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest, grated
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
Directions
Step 1 –Season the salmon on both sides of each filet with salt and pepper.
Step 2 –Heat a large light-colored pan over medium heat.
Step 3 –Immediately add the butter and swirl and stir to prevent splatter until the butter turns brown, for about 3-7 minutes.
Step 4 –Add the seasoned salmon and cook uncovered until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 5 –Flip and sauté until flaky and cooked through with an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 6 –In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the pan, spooning the sauce over the salmon as it cooks.
Step 7 –Transfer the salmon to plates and drizzle the fillets with the remaining sauce.
Step 8 –Sprinkle the salmon with parsley.
Step 9 –Serve.
