Ingredients

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 (4-ounce) catfish fillets
  • lemon wedges, optional, for garnish
  • fresh parsley, optional, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Combine the cornmeal, seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a shallow dish.

Step 2 –Pour the milk into a separate dish.

Step 3 –Heat the oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
