Easy Flank Steak

You don’t need to go to a fancy, way too expensive restaurant to chomp on that steak you’ve been craving! Why? Well, because Easy Flank Steak is just as tasty, doesn’t cost nearly as much, and is super simple to make yourself! These heavenly hunks of meat are marinated in a tangy and sweet barbeque sauce. You have to wait just a bit for that to happen, but once you fire up the grill and cook them to rosy, tender perfection, then you’ll see why they were worth the wait. Save a few bucks and stay in tonight, Easy Flank Steak has dinner covered!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 cup burgundy wine or beef broth
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 (2-pound) beef flank steak

Directions

Step 1 –In a small bowl, whisk the barbeque sauce, the wine, and the lemon juice together until it is blended.

Step 2 –Pour 1 cup of the marinade into a shallow dish.

Step 3 –Add the beef to the marinade and turn to coat it.

Step 4 –Cover the beef and refrigerate it for 4 hours and up to overnight.

Step 5 –Cover the remaining marinade and refrigerate.

Step 6 –Drain the beef.

Step 7 –Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Step 8 –Grill the steak, covered, until a thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 135 degrees F, about 6-8 minutes on each side.

Step 9 –Let the beef stand for 5 minutes to rise to at least 145 degrees F internally.

Step 10 –Slice the beef thinly across the grain.

Step 11 –Serve the beef with the reserved marinade.
