Grandma’s Best Bake is a casserole of comfort, with a hearty mix of mushroom and celery flavors with plenty of bites of chicken for added protein and savory flavor. For enhanced deliciousness, the casserole is full of stuffing for that wonderful home-cooked feeling. Grandma’s Best Bake is just the best!
Ingredients
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 cups chicken, cooked and diced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (6-8-ounce) package herb-seasoned stuffing mix or 3-4 cups homemade stuffing
- 1 cup Swiss or cheddar cheese, optional, shredded
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Spray a 2-2 1/2-quart baking dish with nonstick spray.
Step 3 –Combine the cream of celery soup, the cream of mushroom soup, and the chicken broth.
Step 4 –Add the diced chicken to the soup mixture.
Step 5 –In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter with the stuffing mix.
Step 6 –Add the stuffing mix to the chicken-soup mixture and stir to blend well.
Step 7 –Spoon the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
Step 8 –Bake until the top turns golden-brown, about 30-40 minutes.
Step 9 –During the last 5 minutes of baking, top with the cheese, allowing it to melt during the last several minutes of cooking.
Step 10 –Serve.
