For all your hosting needs! Homemade Hot Crackers are spicy…very spicy! They are also crunchy, salty, savory, zesty, and ready to impress when paired with any dip you could imagine! They may require a little of your patience, but Homemade Hot Crackers are absolutely worth it for the smiles they inspire on your loved ones’ faces!

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 (1-ounce) envelopes ranch dressing mix
  • 3 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (16.5-ounce) package multigrain saltine crackers

Directions

Step 1 –In a 2-gallon resealable plastic bag, add the vegetable oil, the ranch dressing, the red pepper flakes, the garlic powder, the onion powder, and the black pepper.

Step 2 –Seal the bag and massage until the oil and the spices are well-combined.

Step 3 –Add the crackers to the bag, then seal the bag and turn it to coat the crackers in the spice mix.

Step 4 –Let the crackers sit for 1 hour.

Step 5 –Turn the crackers again and repeat the process of turning the crackers every hour until they are very well-coated in the spice mixture, about 8 hours.

Step 6 –Serve.
