Lazy Pecan Pie Bars are here for the rescue! These crispy-on-the-outside, moist-on-the-inside squares are basically everything you love about the caramel-y, nutty pecan pie, but without having to exhaust yourself and make a crust. You essentially mix it all together, dump it in a dish, and bake! Easy-peazy. Perfect for holidays or any cool day in between, it makes you wonder why these Lazy Pecan Pie Bars aren’t on everyone’s dessert rotation?!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
- confectioners’ sugar, to taste, for topping
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Pour the melted butter into a 13×9-inch baking pan.
Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the brown sugar, the flour, the eggs, the vanilla, the baking soda, and the salt and stir until well-combined.
Step 4 –Add the pecans to the brown sugar mixture and stir to combine.
Step 5 –Spread the pecan mixture over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 6 –Bake the pecan pie bars, about 30-35 minutes.
Step 7 –Transfer the pecan pie bars from the oven and immediately dust them with the confectioners’ sugar.
Step 8 –Let the pecan pie bars cool completely, about 1-2 hours.
Step 9 –Cut into bars and serve.
