Ingredients

  • 2 (5-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • lemon wedges, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat a grill to medium heat.

Step 2 –Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, each on their own piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil.

Step 3 –In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, the basil, the lemon juice, the salt, and the pepper.

Step 4 –Spoon the butter mixture over the salmon fillets.

Step 5 –Fold the aluminum foil around the fillets and seal the foil tightly.

Step 6 –Cook the salmon fillets over the grill until they begin to flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 7 –Open the foil carefully and allow the steam to escape.

Step 8 –Serve the salmon fillets with the lemon wedges.
