Few chicken dishes are as refreshing as this Lemonade Chicken. It’s all in the name, too! The chicken is coated in tangy mustard and fragrant seasoning before being slow-cooked. Of course, to make it Lemonade Chicken, it has to be slow-cooked in lemonade with lemons on top! The result is sweet, savory, juicy, and so, so vibrant! It’s a plate of sunshine just for you!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 ounces lemonade concentrate
- 2 lemons, sliced
Directions
Step 1 –Coat both sides of the chicken breasts with the Dijon mustard.
Step 2 –In a small bowl combine the oregano, the garlic powder, the salt, and the pepper.
Step 3 –Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the chicken breasts.
Step 4 –Add any of the remaining seasoning to the bottom of a slow cooker.
Step 5 –Lay the chicken breasts flat in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 6 –Pour the lemonade concentrate over the chicken breasts.
Step 7 –Top the chicken breasts with the lemon slices.
Step 8 –Cover the slow cooker with a lid and cook the chicken until tender, about 2-3 hours on high and 3-4 hours on low.
Step 9 –Serve.
