Ingredients

  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup stuffing mix, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons milk, not skim
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, divided
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • mashed potatoes, optional, for serving
  • carrots and peas, optional, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a large bowl, combine the egg, stuffing mix, milk, parmesan, and 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce.

Step 3 –Add the beef, mixing lightly but thoroughly, and shape the beef mixture into four 4×2-inch loaves.

Step 4 –Bake the loaves until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part.

Step 5 –Slather on the remaining 1/4 cup barbecue sauce and serve with mashed potatoes, carrots, and peas.
