Muscle-Building Salad

Muscle-Building Salad is pulling double duty! On the one hand, it is a healthy salad that nourishes you and helps you burn off fat. On the other hand, it is a filling, satisfying meal with plenty of protein to build up those biceps. And guess what? Muscle-Building Salad does it… and one-handed, too! Steak, bacon, quinoa, eggs, blue cheese, snap peas… there’s no limit to the savory goodness topping the crisp lettuce beneath! Keep that gym-high going with a big bowl of this buff salad!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups romaine, chopped
  • 1 strip bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 egg, soft-boiled, halved
  • 1 (4-ounce) hanger steak, grilled, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 6 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas
  • 1/2 cup quinoa, cooked
  • dressing, optional, to taste, of your choice
  • baguette, optional, to taste, torn, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –On a large plate, pile the romaine high in the center.

Step 2 –Top the romaine with the bacon, the egg, the steak slices, the tomatoes, the avocado, the blue cheese, the snap peas, and the quinoa.

Step 3 –Top the salad evenly with the dressing.

Step 4 –Serve with the baguette.
