- 4 (6-ounce) chicken breast halves, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 6 whole peppercorns
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 clove garlic, smashed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Step 1 –In a skillet or saucepan that’s just large enough to hold the chicken in 1 layer, combine the chicken, the wine, the peppercorns, the thyme, the rosemary, the garlic, the bay leaf, and the salt.
Step 2 –Add enough cold water to cover the mixture by 1-inch and bring it to a boil.
Step 3 –Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 170 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes.
