Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 sprigs fresh dill or dried dill, to taste
- 1 sprig fresh parsley
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- 1 pound salmon fillets, pin bones removed
- salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste, for serving
- 2 slices fresh lemon, optional, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –In a sauté pan over medium heat, add the wine, the water, the dill, the parsley, and the shallots and bring to a simmer.
Step 2 –Sprinkle the salmon fillets with the salt.
Step 3 –Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan.
Step 4 –Cover and cook until the salmon reaches desired doneness and a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F, for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 5 –Serve sprinkled with the freshly ground black pepper and with the lemon slices.
