Rise & Grind Smoothie

We all know that coffee energizes you. But what if coffee could truly sustain you, giving you a full boost to get through your morning even when you’re in a rush? The Rise & Grind Smoothie gets you ready to… well, to rise and grind: it’s essentially a coffee smoothie with creamy peanut butter, sweet banana, and empowering protein powder to keep you going no matter what the day throws at you! It only takes 5 minutes to make and all you need is a blender, so you can make a Rise & Grind Smoothie while running out the door, content with the knowledge you’re getting your caffeine boost and breakfast in every sip!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 medium ripe banana, frozen
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter, can substitute nut butter of your choice
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk, plus more, to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder, plus more, to taste, for garnish
  • 1 serving protein powder, of your choice

Directions

Step 1 –In a large, high-powered blender, add the coffee, the banana, the vanilla, the peanut butter, the ice, 1/4 cup of the coconut milk, 1/2 tablespoon of the cacao powder, and the protein powder.

Step 2 –Blend on high until everything is well-combined, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 3 –Add more of the extra coconut milk, as needed, to reach your desired consistency.

Step 4 –Serve garnished with the extra cacao powder.
