- 3 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning, plus more, to taste
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the grill to medium heat.
Step 2 –On a cutting board with a sharp knife, trim the tough membrane off of the top of the beef tenderloin, careful to leave all the sections of the tenderloin intact.
Step 3 –In a heavy-duty foil roasting pan, add the trimmed beef tenderloin and evenly pour the melted butter over the top, rubbing it all over.
Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle 3 tablespoons of the seasoned salt and 3 tablespoons of the lemon pepper seasoning on all sides of the buttered beef tenderloin.
Step 5 –Transfer the roasting pan to the grill and allow the melted butter to become hot and foamy.
Step 6 –Cook the tenderloin for 10 minutes.
Step 7 –With a pair of long, heavy tongs, carefully turn the beef tenderloin.
Step 8 –Evenly sprinkle the tenderloin with the extra seasoned salt and the extra lemon pepper seasoning.
Step 9 –Cook the tenderloin, while carefully turning it every 7-8 minutes, until the meat is evenly browned all over and the meat reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees F, about 20-30 minutes.
Step 10 –With a pair of large, heavy tongs and insulated oven mitts, transfer the grilled beef tenderloin from the roasting pan to a clean cutting board and let it rest until it reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 11 –With a sharp or electric knife, slice the grilled beef tenderloin into serving-size pieces and serve.
