Ingredients
For the chopped steak:
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
- 1/2 large white onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup unsalted saltine crackers, finely crushed
Optional, for serving:
- fries, to taste, cooked and warm
- lettuce, to taste
- tomatoes, to taste, wedged

Directions
Step 1 –In a large bowl, add the ground beef and crumble it into small pieces.
Step 2 –Add the salt, the black pepper, the garlic powder, the rosemary, the ground mustard, the paprika, and the dill weed to the beef and knead thoroughly.
Step 3 –Add the onion, the egg, and the Worcestershire sauce and knead it into the beef mixture.
Step 4 –Add the crackers to the beef mixture and mix until thoroughly incorporated.
Step 5 –Shape the beef mixture into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
Step 6 –Preheat a grill pan over medium heat.
Step 7 –Add the patties to the grill pan and cook until the center reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 5-7 minutes per side.
Step 8 –Serve with the fries, the lettuce, and the tomatoes.
