Slow Cooker Ribs

Ribs should be messy to eat, not messy or stressful to make! Slow Cooker Ribs makes the caramelized, fall off the bone ribs easy: simply place everything in the slow cooker and let it do the work. Tangy, sweet, savory, and smoky, Slow Cooker Ribs will become the hit of your next barbeque. Make sure you bring plenty of napkins!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork back ribs, separable, lean and fat
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce

Directions

Step 1 –Season the ribs with salt and pepper.

Step 2 –Pour the water into a slow cooker.

Step 3 –Layer the ribs into the slow cooker.

Step 4 –Top the ribs with the onion and garlic.

Step 5 –Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

Step 6 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 7 –Transfer the ribs to a baking sheet. Discard the onion and garlic.

Step 8 –Coat the ribs with the barbeque sauce.

Step 9 –Bake in the preheated oven until the sauce caramelizes and sticks to the meat, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 10 –Serve!
