Despite its name, this Sweet-on-You Bake isn’t a dessert casserole; instead, it’s a hearty, wholesome, savory dinner that you’ll want to make for the people you care about the most! The yellow rice adds body to the cheesy, creamy, poultry-flavor sauce and the succulent chicken! Ingredients

  • 1 (7-ounce) box yellow rice
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1-2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
  • scallions, optional, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Cook the rice according to the package directions.

Step 3 –Add the cooked rice, the butter, the cream of chicken soup, the chicken, the corn, and 1 cup of the cheese into a mixing bowl and stir until well-combined.

Step 4 –Spoon the mixture into a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

Step 5 –Top the mixture with the remaining cheese.

Step 6 –Bake the casserole until it is bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Step 7 –Serve garnished with the scallions.
