A little bit of romance is welcome in the mornings. And what better way to share your love with your partner than with a delightful little treat. After all, a picture may say a thousand words, but a great taste can write a romance novel! Sweet-On-You Muffins are certainly that; infused with the caramel sweetness of sweet potatoes, each little baked good is enhanced with warm pumpkin pie spice and rich chocolate chips. You’ll be sweet on Sweet-On-You Muffins in a heartbeat!


  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 2/3 cup neutral oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups prepared sweet potato purée or mashed sweet potato, room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line 12 large muffin cups in a muffin tin.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the eggs, the oil, the granulated sugar, and the brown sugar and, using an electric hand mixer, beat it until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 4 –Add the sweet potato purée to the egg mixture and fold to combine.

Step 5 –Sift the flour, the baking soda, the baking powder, the salt, and the pumpkin spice into the sweet potato mixture and fold to combine. Do not use a mixer.

Step 6 –Add the chocolate chips, folding them in to combine.

Step 7 –Pour the batter evenly into the prepared muffin cups.

Step 8 –Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
