Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon rosemary, dried
  • 1/4 tablespoon parsley, dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 slices bacon, smoked and thick

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Take the skin off the chicken drumsticks and make a few small slits in the meat so the meat can cook easier, or prick the chicken several times with a sharp knife.

Step 3 –Season the chicken with the salt, ground black pepper, dried rosemary, and parsley.

Step 4 –Rub all the drumsticks with the olive oil.

Step 5 –Roll the bacon slices onto the drumsticks.

Step 6 –Cover the chicken lightly with aluminum foil.

Step 7 –Bake the chicken until it is cooked through at 165 degrees F (do not let the meat thermometer touch the bone when evaluating temperature), about 30 minutes.

Step 8 –Take the foil off and cook for an additional 30 minutes.

Step 9 –Turn the oven to broil.

Step 10 –Brown the chicken for 5-7 minutes on medium-high. Watch the chicken so it does not burn.
