  • 8 whole eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • warm syrup, for serving

For the topping:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • nutmeg, freshly grated

Step 2 –Evenly distribute the bread in the prepared dish.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, crack the eggs.

Step 5 –Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread.

Step 6 –Cover the pan tightly and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour and up to overnight.
