Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes

Ingredients

  • oil, to taste, for deep-frying
  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes, washed and peeled
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 ounces canned cheese sauce
  • 1 ounce sour cream

Directions

Step 1 –Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Cut the potatoes into 1/2-inch-thick cubes.

Step 3 –Rinse the potatoes off with water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Step 4 –Place the potatoes in a large, resealable plastic bag.

Step 5 –In a medium bowl, add the flour, the onion powder, the garlic powder, the paprika, and the cayenne pepper and mix to combine.

Step 6 –Pour the flour mixture over the potatoes, seal the bag, and gently toss to coat.

Step 7 –Shake off the excess flour mixture from the potatoes.

Step 8 –Add the potatoes to the deep fryer and fry until they are golden-brown, about 10-12 minutes.

Step 9 –Drain the potatoes on a wire rack.

Step 10 –In a microwave-safe bowl, warm the cheese sauce in the microwave until it is heated through.
