Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 4 fillets fish, of your choice
  • flour, to taste
  • neutral oil, to taste

Editor’s Notes:

Looking for an air fryer method? Typically, you will want to air fry fish sticks at 390 degrees F for 12-15 minutes, flipping the fish at the 8-minute mark. Cook time may vary, so please pay close attention while cooking.

Directions

Step 1 –Mix the coriander powder, the red chili powder, the turmeric, the salt, the vinegar, and the garlic paste into a smooth paste. Add a little water if needed if it seems too thick.

Step 2 –Pat the fish fillets dry.

Step 3 –On a cutting board or in a large bowl, coat the fish fillets with the paste, coating evenly. Marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 4 –Place the flour in a shallow dish and coat the fillets in the flour.

Step 5 –Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.

Step 6 –Shallow fry the fillets for 5 minutes on each side.
