Easy Potstickers

Never made your own potstickers? You’re missing out! This Easy Potsticker recipe is far easier than you think and tastes way more delicious than what you’ll buy in the frozen section of your local grocery store.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup green cabbage, shredded
  • 3 ounces shiitake mushrooms, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 36 wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • soy sauce, optional, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –In a mixing bowl, combine the pork, cabbage, mushrooms, garlic, green onions, hoisin, ginger, sesame oil, Sriracha, and white pepper.

Step 2 –Place the wonton wrappers on a work surface.

Step 3 –Spoon 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture into the center of each wrapper.

Step 4 –Using your finger, rub the edges of the wrappers with water.

Step 5 –Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape, pinching the edges to seal. Repeat this with all of the wontons.

Step 6 –Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 7 –Add the potstickers in a single layer and cook them until golden and crisp, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 8 –Serve immediately with soy sauce, if desired.
