  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 (8-ounce) jar prepared salsa
  • 1 (1-pound) block processed cheese, such as Velveeta™, sliced
  • tortilla chips, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 –Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3 –Cook and stir the beef until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4 –Drain the excess grease from the ground beef.

Step 5 –Spread the cream cheese in an even layer onto the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish.

Step 6 –Spread the salsa over the cream cheese.

Step 7 –Add the ground beef on top of the salsa.

Step 8 –Top the beef with the sliced cheese.

Step 9 –Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake until heated through, about 15 minutes.

Step 10 –Serve with the tortilla chips.
